Salvia sclarea

Clary Sage (Vatican Sage) - 'Clear eye' sage is said to take the specks out of eyes and restore sight. This variety has large pebbly leaves and very decorative white/lilac flowers. Used to treat eye diseases, to give flavor to muscatel and the oil used as a fixative in the perfume industry. The showy flowers dry well and are used in dried arrangements.
