Teucrium canadense

Creeping Teucrium is also known as American Germander or Creeping Germander. A low-growing, creeping variety of germander, it has purplish/pink flowers that are quite lovely. It spreads well and makes for an excellent ground cover on banks and rough places. It was once used medicinally to treat gout and now used as an ingredient in liqueurs, tonic, wines and vermouth. The leaves are mildly aromatic.
