Dwaf Dark Opal is a small-leaved variety of Dark Opal Basil. Sensational border plant forming dark purple clumps. Basil grown in a pot on a windowsill repels flies and the crushed leaves are said to relieve the pain of bee and scorpion stings. Steep the leaves in vinegar for a lavender-colored, clove tasting salad dressing. Good pot plant.
